It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the Civil Service Club (CSC) is here to make it even better! December brings a host of unique activities, from an intergalactic-themed Christmas party and a talent contest to an eco-kayaking expedition and a blockbuster movie screening. Get ready to celebrate with family and friends, all while enjoying exclusive deals and new experiences.

Blast off to a cosmic Christmas adventure

Gather your little space adventurers (aged 5 to 12) and suit up in the coolest homemade space outfits because this year’s CSC Children’s Christmas Party is boldly coming “from a galaxy far, far away”. It’s going to be an interstellar afternoon filled with activities, including a Best Dressed Family Contest, a lucky draw, a magic show, game booths, a bouncy castle, balloon sculpting and face painting. For the kids, there’s also free flow of candy and popcorn, a McDonald’s Happy Meal and a Christmas present to take home.

Be a star on stage

Do you have what it takes to leave the audience star-struck? The CSC Stars 2025 talent competition is back, inviting CSC members and Public Service Officers to showcase their skills in singing, dancing, magic or martial arts.

Submit your one-minute audition video by 1 December 2024 for a chance to be among the top 10 finalists who will perform live at the CSC @ Tessensohn auditorium on 11 January 2025. The winner will walk away with a 2D/1N stay at CSC @ Changi worth $255, a $100 shopping voucher and a trophy.

Not the performing type? No worries — be part of the action as an audience member! The first 50 to pre-register will snag a free goodie bag, and there’s also a lucky draw and exciting guest performances to look forward to. Audience registration closes 2 January 2025, so don’t miss your chance to enjoy this dazzling showcase.

Dive into the captivating animation of Disney’s Moana 2 at CSC’s weekend movie screening at Shaw Theatres. While the exact showtime will be confirmed via email one week before the screening, secure your seats early to avoid missing out. Enjoy a set menu of food and beverages, with the option to order additional treats if you like. Gather your family for a kid-friendly adventure that promises fun for all ages!

Smash away stress in a safe and fun environment

Go on a breaking spree at The Fragment Room, the ultimate destination for safe and satisfying stress relief. Suit up in protective gear and channel your emotions by shattering glasses, vases, plates and even electronic appliances in what many call “anger therapy”.

Participants must be over 18, but teens aged 13 to 18 can join in with a guardian present (a signed parental waiver is required). Note: This stress-busting session requires a minimum of 11 participants to proceed, so rally your friends and let loose!

Paddle with purpose

The Year End Funcation – Kayak Expeditions Marine Debris Cleanup at CSC @ Loyang offers more than just an introduction to the technical and safety aspects of kayaking. It’s also an opportunity to make a positive impact by cleaning up the waters while enjoying a refreshing morning outdoors. With a minimum of four and a maximum of 70 participants per session, this activity is perfect for groups or individuals looking to combine fun with a meaningful cause. 

In the event of bad weather, the session will be rescheduled to ensure everyone’s safety. Grab your paddles and join the effort for cleaner seas!

Bring your little ones to CSC @ Changi I and CSC @ Loyang for the Year-End School Holiday Nov/Dec Funcation 2024. Kids can enjoy into a variety of free hands-on craft activities, with different options available each day. From creating adorable cupcake towel origami to building a Christmas house using upcycled materials, and even painting wool pouches, there’s something to spark creativity and keep young hands busy.
