Blending technology with the wonders of gardening, our Smart Watering Microbit Workshop is a perfect opportunity for kids to learn how programming can make everyday life easier and more fun. Participants will enjoy a hands-on experience as they use simple drag-and-drop commands to code an automated watering system for plants. Kids can also bring home their creations to continue nurturing their green thumbs and tech skills. Recommended for curious minds aged 6 years old and above.

Become a young scientist

Ignite your child's curiosity with three days of scientific discovery at our Fun Science 3 Days Kids Camp. This event is designed for budding young scientists aged 4 to 9 years old. Each activity is an opportunity to learn essential scientific principles such as mechanics, aerodynamics and the dynamics of non-Newtonian fluids. More than just science, kids will hone their teamwork, strategy-making and critical-thinking skills, making new friends and memories along the way.

 

When: Monday to Wednesday, 27 May to 29 May, and 24 June to 26 June

Code your own adventure

Transform screen time into creative time! Encourage your child to step beyond just playing games or watching videos by learning to build their own mobile app in our App Creators: Design and Code a Quiz App workshop. Using Thunkable, a visual programming platform designed, kids will acquire fundamental principles of user interface design, such as sketching out ideas using wireframes, and crafting a functional, appealing app interface. The journey continues as they program their creation and launch it on either iOS or Android operating systems.

 

Participants will be required to bring their own laptops to the workshop. Tablets and phones are not suitable for this session.

From smartphones to fitness trackers, and even the traffic lights at road junctions, technology is all around us. Enrol your child in Micro:bit STEM Workshop – Traffic Lights to dive deeper into the world of tech. In this dynamic session, children will learn coding fundamentals using the micro:bit, a compact, hand-held programmable computer ideal for young learners. They’ll explore how to program and understand the mechanics behind input and output devices in everyday technology. Key coding concepts like sequencing, events and loops will be demystified, setting them up for advanced programming challenges.

Serve up thrills and skills

Holidays can mean a break from school and sometimes, a break from staying active. Counteract the holiday slump by joining our AWASD Children's Badminton Camp. It’s open to every child, from complete beginners to those looking to sharpen their shuttlecock skills. The coaches will use positive, encouraging methods to teach the fundamentals of badminton, blending instruction with fun games and activities. This approach not only enhances technical skills and proper playing techniques but also promotes overall physical development.

Build your own metaverse

Roblox isn’t just a platform for playing games; it’s a gateway to becoming a young game developer. Nurture your child’s imagination with our Roblox Coding Workshop for Beginners. This session introduces kids to Roblox Studio, which they can use to build custom maps and craft unique gaming experiences. Participants will get hands-on with virtual 3D elements, learning to manipulate shapes like spheres, cubes and cylinders. They'll experiment with various terrains, adding snowy landscapes, icy glaciers or lush grasslands to their creations. Once their games are complete, they’ll be able to share their adventures with other players.

Calling all young adventurers! Help a cheeky monkey navigate through challenges using code in the Coding Fundamentals with Code Monkey. This fun and interactive workshop is designed to ignite curiosity and enhance critical-thinking skills. Participants will embark on a journey to hone their logic, problem-solving, planning and mathematical abilities. They'll dive into the basics of the real-world programming language CoffeeScript, tackling programming concepts like loops, conditionals, logical and comparison operators, and even directional thinking with coordinate systems.

Explore the vast possibilities of coding in our Coding Quest with Google Blockly workshop. Children will learn to navigate complex maps, craft intricate art forms and animate dancing puppets. Train to be a robot builder

Unleash your child's competitive edge with our LEGO® Robotics Camp, designed for children aged 7 to 12 years old. Young engineers will not only build their robots but also program them to tackle exciting challenges. They’ll learn essential engineering sciences and advanced logic, as they customise their creations to collect items, group them and navigate through a PAC-Man game scenario. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to step into the role of a robotics engineer, expanding both their creativity and technical skills in a fun, hands-on environment.

If you're staying at our chalets this school holiday, don’t miss the exclusive array of leisure activities at Funcation, available only to chalet guests at CSC @ Loyang and CSC @ Changi I from 31 May to 23 June.

 

At CSC @ Loyang, learn to make glitter slime, or make a splash with kayaking try-outs at Ohana Beach House. Additionally, little explorers aged 6 to 12 years old can enjoy their version of nautical thrills by going on paddle boat rides.

 

Over at CSC @ Changi I, get creative by personalising you own bead bracelet or crafting your own dinosaur-shaped soap.
