Careers in public service are rewarding in countless ways — and this July, the rewards just keep coming! With Public Service Week (PSWeek) and the Public Service Sports & Family Day taking place this month, join us for a calendar full of fun events and special offers exclusively for CSC members, Public Service Officers and their families.

Initiated in 2008, PSWeek is an annual event dedicated to recognising the commitment and dedication of Public Service Officers. Despite its name, PSWeek includes events throughout the entire month, culminating in the Public Service Sports & Family Day on 27 July. The event in 2023 saw a record number of over 8,000 participants flocking to the OCBC Square at Singapore Sports Hub. This year, Public Service Sports & Family Day is back, bigger and better than ever! 

Enjoy inter-agency games and healthy lifestyle events with loads of fun for everyone. Don’t miss the CSC Cycle, the Public Service Dragon Boat Race and the Amazing Race-style Public Service Explorer Challenge, where teams dash around the city on foot or public transport, locating hotspots and performing tasks at each one. Other highlights include game booths, hands-on workshops, giant inflatables, and plenty of chances to try new sports like pickleball, tchoukball and kin-ball.

To mark the occasion, CSC is also offering a selection of health, wellness, learning and leisure activities for free to Public Service Officers. These special events are in addition to the usual array of activities and deals offered to CSC members, Public Service Officers and their guests. 

Unlock the soothing powers of essential oils in our Aromatherapy for Mental Wellness online workshop. This session aims to alleviate your stress levels, improve your mood and help you achieve a state of calm through customised oil blends and aroma massage techniques.

Creating art can be meditative, with your painted masterpiece showcasing your thoughts. The Reflective Art Experience @ TC workshop will help you to convey your feelings through art and learn to use it as a way to manage emotions.

Set in the tranquil, resort-like surroundings of CSC @ Bukit Batok, Yoga for Wellness @ BB will guide you through a rejuvenating series of yoga poses designed to benefit your physical and mental health. Invite your friends and family to join you in this inclusive class suitable for all ages.

Looking for a high-energy workout? Cardio Kickboxing @ TC is a sweaty, satisfying exercise session that combines martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio. This group fitness class will help you burn calories, build stamina and improve coordination and flexibility.

For exercise that doesn’t feel like exercise, check out Zumba @ BB. This energetic blend of cardio moves, Latin-inspired dance steps and international pop music adds up to a major endorphin rush while providing a great aerobic workout.

Pilates is a safe and effective form of physical rehabilitation and exercise focused on muscular balance, making it perfect for older individuals or those who spend long hours hunched over their desks. Improve your strength, flexibility and posture in a welcoming group environment at Pilates @ CSC Tessensohn. If you have a fear of water or have never found the time to learn to swim, Swimming for Ladies @ CSC Tessensohn is for you. Instructor Thipa Mogan, who has been teaching both adults and children to feel comfortable in the water since 2005, is skilled at helping first-timers take the plunge into a healthier lifestyle. Over eight lessons, you will learn to swim and gain confidence in the pool.
