Getting older doesn’t mean slowing down or giving up on the things you love. Today, turning 50 and beyond is just another chapter — one where you can stay active, pick up new skills and enjoy life in fresh and fulfilling ways.

The Majulah Generation — Singapore’s youngest seniors, born between 1960 and 1973 — are redefining ageing. To celebrate this exciting stage of life, CSC @ Tessensohn is hosting Majulah Active Day on 15 March 2025, from 10am to 3pm. The event is packed with fun activities, sports try-outs, and health and wellness programmes that prove staying engaged and connected makes all the difference in your senior years.
Here are 8 reasons you won’t want to miss Majulah Active Day!
1. A fun-filled day for all generations
Majulah Active Day isn’t just for seniors — it’s a family-friendly event filled with engaging activities for all ages. Capture the moment at the photography booth with fun family portraits, or get creative with your grandchildren at the DIY suncatcher keychain and terrarium ball workshops.

Cool off at the family fun pool, where inflatable floats in playful shapes await both the young and young at heart. When it’s time to refuel, enjoy a mix of nostalgic treats and hearty bites like traditional kopi and teh, muah chee, dragon beard candy, hot dogs, mac and cheese, and ham and cheese sandwiches.

2. Get moving with free sports try-outs
Majulah Active Day is the perfect opportunity to explore new sports and workouts without the cost or commitment of signing up for classes or buying equipment.
Try low-impact exercises like yoga and Pilates, or get competitive with archery, table tennis and inflatable soccer. If you’re looking for something different, check out the aqua aerobics try-out in CSC @ Tessensohn’s Olympic-standard pool or the 3m-by-1.5m golf station.

If you need a break, Atos Wellness is offering a complimentary 10-minute head and shoulder massage to help you relax — before jumping back into the fun!

3. Power up with a high-energy mass workout
Exercising in a group is not only more enjoyable but also helps boost motivation and performance. Studies have shown that working out with others makes it easier to stay committed to fitness goals.
At Majulah Active Day, fitness and wellness consultancy United Lifestyle will lead a mass workout session designed specifically for young seniors. Instructors will guide participants through a dynamic routine to leave them feeling stronger and more energised.

After the session, visit the United Lifestyle booth to check out the latest gym equipment and try the AI-powered smart body analyser, a tool that helps track fitness progress.
4. Explore new passions and hobbies
Retirement or semi-retirement doesn’t mean slowing down — it’s the perfect time to try something new, spark creativity and build meaningful connections.
If you enjoy cooking, don’t miss Chef Lisa’s live cooking demonstration at CSC @ Tessensohn’s Tessy Kitchen on Level 3. A regular instructor at CSC cooking classes, she will be sharing fuss-free recipes and handy kitchen tips. Bring a notebook or your phone to jot down her expert advice.

For those interested in gardening, the eco-garden potting activity will teach participants how to grow edible leafy greens — perfect for adding homegrown ingredients to meals. Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent or a complete beginner, this hands-on session will provide useful skills for growing fresh produce at home.

5. Shop, snack and explore the wellness bazaar
The mini-bazaar at Majulah Active Day features a handpicked selection of health-conscious snacks, wellness products and exclusive deals.
For guilt-free snacking, sample freeze-dried Taiwanese fruits and veggies from Auntie Jenn, low-GI desserts from Nuvojoy, or halal, whole-grain bakes from Wunder Bake. If fresh fruit is more your style, Royce Fruits will have a sweet selection of seasonal produce.

For a wellness boost, visit doTERRA for an essential oils journey, SG Best Bird Nest for premium bird’s nest porridge, Simplynut for preservative-free nut butters, or Uhome for natural honey and vinegar cider.
Be sure to also check out the Standard Chartered Bank booth for exclusive promotions and a free gift, while stocks last.
6. Unlock essential resources for active ageing
Majulah Active Day brings together valuable resources to help seniors stay healthy, independent and informed — all in one place.

Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will have talks on total workplace safety, information on well-being champions network and several of their health programmes.
7. Stay healthy with free screenings and expert talks
Majulah Active Day makes it easy to take charge of your health with complimentary health screenings and expert-led wellness talks.
Participants can undergo a basic health check-up to measure key indicators like blood pressure and resting heart rate. Beyond that, leading health professionals will be on hand to share practical tips on ageing well.

Ms Wong Hui Mei, principal dietitian of Parkway Group, will reveal smart nutrition strategies for seniors, while Dr Leonard Leng will discuss the benefits of exercise in preventing age-related health issues.
