The Civil Service Club’s annual extravaganza of sports, camaraderie, and family bonding is back – and it's bigger and better! Last year, 8,000 attendees engaged in healthy lifestyle activities, cheered on participants in inter-agency games and created unforgettable memories with their loved ones.

The Public Service Sports and Family Day 2024 will take place on Saturday, 27 July, at the Singapore Sports Hub. Keep reading to discover what's in store and why you won’t want to miss it!

Reason 1: Cheer on Your Colleagues Like Never Before

Witness the sheer stamina and determination of the CSC Cycle participants, as they tackle a gruelling 33km ride from CSC @ Changi to the Singapore Sports Hub; feel the adrenaline rush as you watch the Public Service Dragon Boat Race at the Kallang Basin Race Course; and get ready to root for your favourite teams in exciting and unique sports challenges like pickleball, tchoukball and kin-ball. The atmosphere will be buzzing with energy and excitement as you witness the One Public Service spirit.

Reason 2: Embrace the Spirit of Competition

If you missed out on registering for the inter-agency games, don’t kick yourself – you’ll still have plenty of chances to flex your competitive muscles. Show off your skills at the Arcade Basketball Tournament, where every hoop counts, or aim for the bullseye at the Darts Tournament. If your idea of a sport involves a mobile phone and air-conditioning, the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Tournament is right up your alley. And if your family is just as competitive as you are, sign them up for the Family Relay Competition, featuring quirky challenges like Kick the Chaptek, Cup Stack and Squeeze the Balloon.

Tournament spots are limited, so make sure to sign up before the deadline on 14 July. Winners of the basketball, darts, and family relay competitions will receive $200 shopping vouchers, while the Mobile Legends champs will split $500 in shopping vouchers among their team. Even the littlest ones can join the fun with children’s colouring contests on-site to show off their creativity.

Reason 3: Get Moving with Healthy Activities for All Ages

Lace up your comfy walking shoes and join the Healthy Lifestyle Walk with your friends and family. It’s an easy and enjoyable activity that gets everyone moving, from the youngest to the oldest family members. After the walk, head over to the sports try-out booths, where you can try out a variety of sports without needing to invest in equipment and gear.

If you prefer something a bit more relaxed, try the Chair Yoga Trial Class. This session features simple, slow-paced yoga moves, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques, all of which can be done while sitting down. Those who like fun cardio workout can go for Boogie Bounce Trial Class which involves bouncing on a mini trampoline to chart-topping hits, offering a muscle-toning session that’s enjoyable for all ages. The trial classes are free for CSC Members and Public Service Officers. Pre-registration before 14 July is recommended to secure your slots. For those without a booking, walk-ins are available, subject to availability.

Plus, don’t miss the Health Promotion Board booth, where fun prizes are up for grabs for taking part in parent-child activities.

Reason 4:  Build Resilience and Discover Pathways to Better Well-being

At the Well-being@Gov booth, discover how your well-being is supported within the Public Service. Whether you are new to the job, leading a team, or just navigating challenges, Well-being@Gov provides you with a whole suite of well-being support, including personalised self-help resources, workshops to build resilience, and coaching for personal growth. Curious to find out more? Join us at the booth and learn how Well-being@Gov can help you create a life where you can thrive.

And if you are looking for a fun way to bond with friends or family, embark on a gamified journey of self-discovery at the Growthbeans booth. These card games support well-being conversations and enable individuals to understand themselves and others better. Take your pick from 2 choices: GRO! or Beantastic.

GRO! is great for players looking to develop teamwork, understand what resilience entails, and explore their resilience strategy. Beantastic supports players in building their self-awareness, explore coping strategies, practise perspective taking and empathy skills. With Beantastic, learn how you can support people better and understand the impact you have on one another for better relationships.

Reason 5: Score Fun Freebies, Promos, and Collectibles

Who doesn’t love free giveaways? Every registered attendee at Public Service Sports and Family Day 2024 will receive a fun pack, along with free ice cream and popcorn, while stocks last. You’ll also have the chance to snag limited-edition merchandise like sports caps and towels that make perfect souvenirs.

Another crowd-pleaser is the lucky draw, featuring 50 exciting prizes including AirPods Pro, gift vouchers, and the top prize of a two-night cruise on the Genting Dream for four people – that’s your next holiday sorted!

With Kallang Wave Mall just next to the event area, do check out the ShopBack promotion. Participating tenants include Chi Cha San Chen, Boost, Chocolate Origin and more. If you’re grabbing groceries before heading home, take advantage of FairPrice Xtra discount coupon in the fun pack, while stocks last.

Not a CSC Member yet? Visit the CSC Membership booth to enjoy an exclusive sign-up promotion and receive extra goodies, available for one day only.

Reason 6: Discover Exciting Bazaar Booths and Delicious Eats

Explore the bazaar stalls selling knick-knacks and other merchandise that will be too irresistible for your wallets. There’s also food and snack stalls if you’re feeling hungry!

As they say, health is about balance – and a little bit of cake doesn’t hurt. Satisfy your taste buds and support a great cause at the Yellow Ribbon Bakery booth, where Halal-certified bakes are crafted by the inmates-bakers of Changi Prison. Make sure not to indulge too much if you are participating in the challenges or games! There’s also the Singtel and Singlife booths for sweet deals.

Reason 7: Unleash Your Creativity and Learn Something New

Crafting is an excellent way to relax, so dive into the Terrarium Ball Workshop, where kids and parents can create their own little ecosphere of living greenery. You can also get creative at the Coaster Art Workshop, where participants can design their own personalised drink coasters, or the Suncatcher Keychain Workshop to craft a beautiful trinket that keeps your keys safe. To avoid disappointing your kids, secure your place in the priority queue by pre-registering for these workshops before 14 July. For those without a booking, walk-ins are available, subject to availability.

Reason 8: Enjoy a Day Full of Fun Entertainment

Adding to the excitement and fun vibes is an array of entertainment options. Enjoy musical performances from the dynamic two-piece duo Anchorblanc Band, laugh-out-loud moments with comedy ventriloquist Patrick Wan and a mesmerising bubble show by CJ the Bubble Girl that kids will want front-row seats for.

Throughout the event, there will be balloon sculptors and roving magicians adding colour and liveliness to your day, along with giant inflatable bouncers where kids can burn off their excess energy. Visit the Families for Life booth, which features a colouring area and bouncy castle for little ones. Plus, greet the largest gathering of Public Service mascots outside of the National Day Parade – Becky Bunny, Nila, Captain Green, Merli and Captain Happy will all be making an appearance.

Older kids and those young at heart will want to browse the merchandise stalls and carnival game stations, redeeming tickets for prizes like cute Sanrio stress relief toys and other covetable items. Be quick as items are while stocks last! Choose between virtual reality gaming and old-school arcade fun, strike your best pose at the 360 Video Booth, and commemorate the day with a keepsake from the Instant Print photo booths.
